At Ohana Pools, Spas & Billiards, we believe a great design is the foundation of a great pool. Our in-house design services use Pool Studio 3D software to help you visualize your backyard retreat before construction begins.
Our in-house designer, Mega Trevino, earned recognition as a 2023 Million Dollar Pool Design Challenge finalist, and our designs balance creativity, practicality, and budget awareness to ensure your investment looks as good as it functions.
Whether you’re exploring ideas or finalizing plans, our design packages give you flexibility—and best of all, your design fees are applied toward your build contract if you move forward with Ohana.
Basic Design Packages
These packages are ideal for above-ground pool projects:
Virtual Basic Design Package
Ideal for clients outside our local area or early-stage planners who want professional input without an in-person visit.
Includes:
- Up to 1.25 hours of design time using site info provided by you or Google Maps
- 15-minute virtual consultation by phone or video
- 2D design with basic pool, decking, and feature layout
- One round of minor revisions
- Additional design time available in 30-minute increments
Cost: $225
Credit: 100% of design fee applies to your build contract if you move forward with Ohana.
Basic On-Site Design Package
Perfect for local clients who want an accurate layout and personal consultation.
Includes:
- 30-minute yard consultation and measurement collection
- 1.5 hours of design time for a scaled 2D layout
- One round of minor revisions
- Additional design time available in 30-minute increments
- Delivered as digital PDF or printed layout upon request
Cost: $300
Credit: Design fee applies toward your pool contract balance if you build with Ohana.
3D Concept Rendering Package

Includes:
- Full 3D Pool Studio rendering
- Custom pool shape, deck, lighting, and water features
- 2–3 camera perspectives or short video walkthrough
- Up to 2 minor revisions
Cost: $600–$900 (depending on complexity)
Credit: 100% of design fee applies toward your pool contract if purchased through Ohana.
Comprehensive Design & Build Plan Package
For homeowners ready to move forward with a complete design-build plan.
Includes:
- All 3D rendering deliverables
- Detailed site plan with measurements
- Equipment pad layout, material selections, and lighting plan
- Up to 3 revisions
- Final design consultation to review and approve if necessary
Cost: Starting at $1,200
Credit: Full design fee applied to contract balance with Ohana.
Independent Design Consulting
Need an expert eye but not a full build? We’re happy to help. This includes:
- Professional consultation for DIY builders or other contractors
- Concept feedback, plan reviews, and design troubleshooting
- Hourly service for out-of-area or third-party projects
Cost: $150/hour
Credit: Not applied to contract balance unless converted to Ohana build.

Do I get to keep my design if I don’t build with Ohana?
Yes. You own your design once it’s completed and paid for. If you choose to build elsewhere, it’s yours to keep—though we hope you’ll bring it back to us when you’re ready!
What happens if I need more design time than my package includes?
You can add additional design time in 30-minute increments at our standard rate. We’ll always confirm before extending work so there are no surprises.
What’s the difference between the free concept sketch and the paid packages?
The complimentary sketch is a simple pool outline created after your free yard consultation. Paid packages include scaled layouts, features, and revisions for more precise planning and HOA approvals.
Do you offer 3D designs for above-ground pools?
Yes! We can absolutely create a design or rendering for an above-ground pool. Since on-site consultations for these projects aren’t included in our free in-ground design program, a small design fee helps cover the time it takes to measure, plan, and customize your layout.
If I pay for a design now and sign a contract later, how do I get my credit?
The design fee you paid is applied directly to your construction contract as a credit once you sign with Ohana—no expiration date or gimmicks.
How long does it take to receive my design?
Most 2D designs are delivered within 3–5 business days after your consultation. 3D and comprehensive plans typically take 1–2 weeks, depending on revisions.
What if I’m outside your local service area?
The Virtual Basic Package is ideal for out-of-area clients. You provide measurements or site photos, and we handle the rest remotely.
